My Story

About the Owner and K.J Interiors

Hi, my name is Kristen Josie Levin. I am a young Interior Designer driven by my passion for both architecture and design. I graduated from Vega Design School in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design with Distinction, and received an award for the top achiever. I see architecture and design as vehicles for creating people's visions, as our imaginations are beyond explanation. Design is a beautiful way to express not only myself but the world and its people around me. My discipline and dedication to my career will ensure that all my client's needs are met. I strive to develop a reputation for excellence that extends beyond my community. After graduating I spent a year doing contract work with varies design firms, one which gave me the opportunity of being a part of the technical design team for the Burj Khalifa Residences in Dubai. These incredible opportunities gave me the confidence to start my own business.

During my studies, I had created a design page called K.J Interiors to exhibit all my varsity projects.
The Abbreviation in the brand's name, being K.J Interiors, stands for Kristen Josie Interiors. The brand is therefore named after myself, as I believe that all of my designs carry a unique style throughout that truly reflect who I am as a designer.  I used this page as a starting point for my career.  As a young designer, I hope to contribute to the growth of architecture and design through all my new designs to come.

Design Philosophy

'Live aesthetically and sustainably.'

The beautiful thing about aesthetics is that it differs to each and every one of us. There is no fixed definition of beauty, only the one we create ourselves. For some people, less is more meaning  beauty can be seen in the most simplistic ways. To others, beauty may be seen as coming up with extraordinary designs. As a designer, my job is to ensure that my designs are aesthetically pleasing to the individual/s I am designing for, whether that be simplistic or extraordinary. In terms of sustainability, it is important to me as a designer to include it in every one of my designs and encourage it when necessary.
